Welcome to the Borough Of Robesonia's Website

Welcome to the Borough of Robesonia website. We hope you find this website very useful & enjoyable to view. Almost everything you might wish to know about our borough is contained in the website, from Council Members to Local events and more. The Borough of Robesonia was founded in 1855, named after the furnace owner, Henry P. Robeson, who planed the town. Robesonia's town plan extended from Church to Robeson, from Main Street to the railroad. It was incorporated in 1913. Today, it has a population of about 2,000 with a beautiful wide tree lined main street which has helped Robesonia achieved the Tree City USA award for the past 15 years. The borough also has a long and distinguished history with many historical locations such as the Robesonia Furnace. In 1794, an iron furnace was established along Spring Creek now called Furnace Creek. It was a vital industry until 1927 when it was acquired by Bethlehem Steel and dismantled. If you would like to see a special article written by the Reading Eagle for Berks County's 150th Anniversary Edition about Robesonia just click here.

We've added a couple of new features to our website for Robesonia homeowners.  We now have 2 new categories under the Resources menu option.  The first category is Borough Minutes which is a complete listing of all the Borough Meeting Minutes, so if you missed the opportunity to attend a particular meeting you can now view the meetings minutes.  The second category is Borough Newsletter, which archives the past & current borough newsletters.  So if you missed an issue you can read it online or print your own copy.  We also have the current permits for homeowners to print and fill out before starting a home project.

If you are looking for a clean town with a country atmosphere, Robesonia is just the right place for you & your family.
