The Union Fire Company #1 of Hamburg provides coverage to roughly 15,000 citizens living in Hamburg Borough, Lenhartsville Borough, Tilden, and Windsor Townships. We operate 3 engines, a heavy brush truck, a heavy rescue, and a 100-foot quint aerial truck.

The Union Fire Company #1 provides fire and rescue services for approximately 12 miles of Interstate 78, spanning across Hamburg Borough, Tilden and Windsor Townships. The company also provides protection on 10 miles of Pa Route 61. The company provides water rescue protection to 6 miles of the scenic Schuylkill River. Fire and rescue protection is the company’s main focus however we also specialize in technical rescue, water rescue, and scuba recoveries. The company is staffed approximately 60 well-trained and dedicated volunteers. The company is in the process of being recognized by the Pa State fire Commissioner as a "Participating Department".
