Welcome to Reiffton Fire company

The Reiffton Fire Company was established on October 8, 1913 by Amos Reiff and Morris Romig. Located in Exeter Township, Berks County, Reiffton Fire Company is located two miles east of the City of Reading and fifty miles northwest of the City of Philadelphia. Reiffton Fire Company is dedicated to protecting the life and property of the residents of Exeter Township and St. Lawrence Borough. Cub Scout Tour at Reiffton

After returning from a possible structure fire on Dunham Drive. Members from the Reiffton Fire Company gave a tour to an Exeter Township Cub Scout troop and their families. Firefighters showed the troop around the station and taught them about fire prevention.

Reiffton Gets Ready For Christmas Tree Sale

Reiffton Fire Company members got together on Sunday morning to start getting ready for the annual Christmas Tree Sale at the station. Members starting bringing the materials for the sale to the station from a storage garage. The tree sale will begin on Friday, November 28, 2008. We will be selling trees from 9AM to 8PM on a daily basis until the trees are sold out. We look forward to your support!

The Exeter Township Fire Department assisted with the delivery of Santa to Boscov's Department Store in Exeter Township. Santa rode the fire trucks to make their grand entrance for the holiday season.

The Reiffton Fire Company gave over 35 people a tour of the station. Girl Scouts and their families came to the station to learn about fire prevention and to receive a tour of the station and the fire trucks. Everyone had a great time and we look forward to having the group back in the spring.

Ladder and Tower Training at Exeter Jr. High School

Exeter Township Fire Department members practiced with ground ladders and tower ladder operations at the Exeter Jr. High School. Crews learned about throwing various ground ladders and worked on operating the bucket of the tower.

The Exeter Township Fire Department had training on Tower 2 at the Exeter Senior High School. Members from ETFD station 2 and 3 attended the training and practiced set-up, aerial operations, and some advanced functions with the tower.

3rd Quarter Incentive Distributed to ETFD Members

Exeter Township Fire Department (ETFD) officials finalized the 3rd quarter (July, August, September) incentive program numbers. Reiffton and Stonersville had a total of 50 eligible firefighters. This means a total of 50 ETFD members received an incentive check for their 3rd quarter participation.
The incentive checks for the 50 fully eligible firefighters ranged from a max of $1,023.00 to a minimum of $118.00 per person for the 3rd quarter of the year. If their participation meets the criteria, members will receive an incentive check all four quarters, in addition to their end of the year incentive check.
In the three quarters for the ETFD incentive program, fully eligible members have earned upwards of $3,200.00 to $450.00.

The Exeter Township Fire Department provided fire protection at the annual Exeter Senior High School bon fire held at the Reiffton School. Members from various Exeter organizations attended the event. Crews also participated in a Homecoming Parade for the Exeter High School.

The Exeter Township Fire Department provided over 60 cub scouts with a tour of the apparatus and a fire prevention lesson. Members from Stonersville and Reiffton showed the cub scouts the equipment that firefighters use and taught them about different fire prevention techniques.

Birdsboro 125th Anniversary Celebration

The Reiffton Fire Company attended the Birdsboro Fire Company 125th Anniversary Celebration. Crews enjoyed a day of relaxation at the fire company that included, housing their current apparatus, playing games, and providing fire prevention demonstrations. Everyone had a great time at the event. Thanks for the Birdsboro Fire Company for having us!

Sunset Manor Drive Vehicle Fire

The Exeter Township Fire Department (companies 2 and 3), along with companies 6, 7, 23, and 49 for RIT were dispatched to Sunset Manor Drive in Exeter Township for a possible structure fire. Additional reports indicated the incident was a vehicle fire in the middle of a field. The assignment was held to companies 2, 3, and 7. All units cleared the scene in about 60 minutes.

Reiffton Takes First Place at Temple Halloween Parade and Fairground Square Mall Structure Fire

The Exeter Township Fire Department participated in the Temple Halloween Parade. Members from Reiffton and Stonersville participated in the annual parade. Reiffton - Engine 2, took first place in the fire company division. Everyone has a great time and we look forward to attending this event for many years to come. On the way home, Engine 2 was requested to respond to Fairgrounds Square Mall in Muhlenberg Township for a reported structure fire. The engine was put on the assignment due to it being in the proximity of the incident. Crews assisted with the escalator fire and cleared the scene in 50 minutes.

Robeson Township Safety Day

The Exeter Township Fire Department participated in the annual Robeson Township Safety Day. Reiffton and Stonersville brought apparatus to this event and participated in fire prevention programs and firefighter challenges. The three member team won both the gear race and the bucket brigade. Congratulations to the members on the victory!

Woodgate Structure Fire

The Exeter Township Fire Department along with companies 23, 7, and 64 were dispatched to Orchardview Road in Exeter Township for a reported kitchen fire. Chief 2 arrived on the scene and reported smoke showing from a 2 1/2 story middle of the row townhouse. Command instructed the first in engine to go in service with a 1 3/4" handline. Engine 2 arrived on the scene and took this assignment. Engine 2's crew found a fire in the stove area with minimal extension to the wall and cabinets. All units cleared the scene in about 60 minutes.
