Over the last few months we have been meeting with the leaders of the municipalities that we cover to propose a more affordable way for you to become a member of Western Berks Ambulance. In the near future residents of our coverage area will be receiving a letter from us regarding our proposed Municipal Memberships. This letter will outline the specifics of the program and provide answers to some of the most popular questions that have been asked so far.

2nd Annual Golf Tournament

We are proud to announce the second annual Western Berks and Friends Golf Tournament which will be held on August 29th at the Willow Hollow Golf Course. Last year's tournament was a huge success and we have been planning this year's ever since. Those that attended last year enjoyed a great day of golf, food and door prizes. This year's tournament is something we believe will provide an even better experience. There has been a lot of interest in the tournament so we suggest getting your entry form in early.

along with other great prizes and individual hole challenge prizes for all 18 holes.

National EMS Week 2008

Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line." This year's observance is May 18th through May 24th. Annually, Western Berks Ambulance recognizes their employees, volunteers and their families for the dedication they have. We also take this opportunity to share our mission, "Continuing to make a difference in the community", by holding our annual Safe Kids Day. This year's event will be held earlier than National EMS Week on May 10th.

Others: Reading Hospital Kids Corner, Berks County 9-1-1 Center, Berks County Emergency Management and St Josephs Hospital.

Activities: Bicycle safety course, Child Identification Cards, Berks County Detectives: Impaired driving course, Berks County Sheriffs: Kids ID, Wenrich Sound DJ
